The ZL1 supercars are cool. 427 cubes out of a LS1. But $90k wow that's a lot of $green$.

Is 427ci the same as 7.0L??? you can pay $10K to Lingenfelter performance and they will rebuild your LS1 to 7.0 I forget what the horse power number is but either way it's a lot cheaper than $95K+ whatever.

i guess its just the fact thqt it comes from the dealer and its worth every bit of that 90ks but its not only motor upgrades its also suspision, Roll cage and a priceless paint job, one of the cool things on this one is that he had a custom made mirror 2 go on the underside of the hood it made it look really clean

I believe that these cars were put together by Fred Gibb Chevrolet due to his involvement with the original 1969 ZL1 Camaros. There were only 69 of these built, which is the primary reason for the car costing as much as a small house.
Most of this car should be reproduceable for much less money. The engine is a C-5R, they have 4:10 rear end gears, 18" Cragar wheels mounted on Z-rated radial tires, , ZO6 Corvette Brakes & Rotors, etc.
The only thing you won't have is Helen Gibb's signature under the hood, but I'd rather have some money left in my wallet!

The newest ones that are still in the works are the Fred Gibb/Berger Camaros.
Not sure of all the details on the car, but there is a nice rendering at GMMG's site. They are the ones that build the Berger Camaros, Blackbird Firebirds, Intimidator Camaros and the like.

Berger used to have their SS that you could order in a couple different trims.
Last time I was there, (Berger is here in Grand Rapids MI) they actually had a used Berger SS.
380 Horse, 6-speed, chambered exhaust. Oooh I wanted it.
Only 15,000 miles, but still too expensive for me.
Guess I'll just build my '68.
