As a guy who is currently installing a VG30DETT, I just hope you have lots of cash to pay a good shop to do the swap or are hooked up with one or more full mechanics that have extra time on their hands (alot of time, like my mechanic does :) )
And thats just installing it where its supposed to go, in a 300ZX TT, I wouldn't even want to think of the custom fab required for this.
Best of luck to you.

240SX engine compartment is larger than a 300ZX, will give you more room for more stuff. Other then the mounts, the wiring is not that hard, but will take time. Take your whole dash out, and your interior, where you see you old harsness is running, follow with the new ZX harness, you will need tons of zip ties, trust me I am doing it. All thats in my 240 is the steering column, I removed the whole interior since my harness is from a Ford. It is pretty much common sense it sounds harder that it is, but it takes alot of time. Do it yourself or you will be paying someone 2grand to just replace harnesses. Now on the speedo and gauge cluster you are on your own, I haven't reached there.
Warning, Don't cut anything, UNPLUG, Nissan may have used the same connectors, I don't know, I have to cut and mate with the Ford harness which makes things a pain in the ASS.
