z6 swap ready to go....almost

Okay, here's what I got:

D16Z6 SOHC Long Block (Head/Block)
92 EX FPR
Motor Mounts
z6 wiring harness
a6 dizzy
a6 intake/exhaust manifolds
a6 tb
and other a6 parts

What I need:

ECU

I'm not feeling this whole OBD-0 and OBD-1 stuff. Basically....I just want an ECU that will work for what I'm doing. I'm assuming I can use one from a 92-93 Del Sol right? I read about people having to buy a ecu adapter and stuff, but since I have a complete wiring harness for my motor it should be able to plug right up correct? But I'm wondering if the plugs will fit my a6 sensors and stuff. I just need to get some input from you guys since ya'll been a ton of help over the months. :)

So hopefully I'll get this set straight.

The motor is due June 16th and I just wanna get everything prepared.

Ok doing the wiring is going to take you alittle more than just pluging this into that. You are going to have to solder in about 40 wirers to the current loom then run the harness in the engine bay. You can not use the stock civic ecu plug it has to be the one for OBD1.

Aight, I see u did the z6 swap. So what you saying is even though I have the harness from the motor, it wont connect properly to all my sensors? I need some more detail with the whole wiring process. Are you saying that I will use half of the harness and half of my stock harness. So basically I'm going to be leave the a6 harness connected to all the sensors and the solder it together with the other half of the z6 harness that will plug into the ecu?

yes because you only have the engine harness not the compleate under dash. So basically you want to plug a obd1 harness into a obd0 inner cabin harness into a obd1 ecu.
Wont work. All 3 variables have to add up. Basically just convert to obd1, not really hard just time consuming, or you can use a obd0 ecu and get somesort of vtec controller.

Okay now I starting to understand it. So say I just keep my a6 harness. Now all I will need to do is just wire the vtec up, correct? So instead of going through all the trouble to convert the whole harness, I can just keep my pm6 ecu and wire the vtec to a controller or switch of some sorts? Or do I still need to change the ecu or should I change it. I have a PG7 ecu sitting around here.

yes that the easiest way of doing it. But it will not be legal in any smog state. If you have to smog it you are going to have lots of problems actually you will never be able to smog it with the obd0 ecu and the obd1 motor.

Thats no problem for me. I dont need to do SMOG. And I got someone that will just slap the sticker on for me when I go for inspection. Okay, so now it all seems to be good for me. I think I might have really lucked out now, on my harness, the part that starts to run back into the cabin, has a few wires that have been spliced back together. I wonder if my crx was vtec'd before by its previous owner? Anyways, does anybody have a good link showing how to wire the vtec into my harness?

Oh, by the way, I have a PG7 ecu. Should I just poped that in replace for the PM6 because it has more aggressive fuel curves which would be better for the vtec right?
