Well they drive them every day over in japan with no apparent problems. This is not some race motor, it was designed to go into car that people would use to just get around.

But if you got the money for a swap then you can get a beater for cheap while you're at it. Why put alot of miles on your expensive new SR?

I hear sr have better gas mileage...nothing wrong with having it as a daily driver.....it is like any engine with 200hp in any car in america....no differences just that you can't buy it here.

Provided you keep your foot out of the throttle :D

My TT gets about 24 on the highway with the taller gearing (slightly taller gears all the way around in the gear box and a 3.692 rear instead of 4.083) but if I stomp on it...that boost gauge on the pillar goes right around to 16 PSI and sometimes I swear I can see the needle on the gas gauge start drifting down...

If you want a fast car you really got to have 2 cars, a daily driver and the toy. That way you're not racking up big mileage on an expensive motor and you don't have to drive your toy around where it will just get hit in a parking lot or stolen or something. I was going to drop an RB25 in my 240sx but I just bought the 300Z TT instead. Much better arrangement. And if you want some more advice, before you spend alot of money on street car, look into cart racing or something. 15 horse shifter cart with a six speed gear box still do 100 mph and they are a damn sight cheaper then building a street ride that will get you hurt or in trouble (previous ower of the Z got a 130 mph speeding ticket, 100+ is a felony now). As the guy who just dropped 10.5k on the Z I can't really talk about street cars not being worth it, because they are alot of fun, just remember to think about all your options. Especially once you get out of school and start working full time (or whatever) and at the end of the day after work you got other stuff to do anyway and your expensive ride just sits except for maybe 10 hours on the week end.

Anyway...
