Air Intake System?

I saw in a magazine a buddy showed me that if i put an aftermarket air intake sytem i could gain up to 130HP. I dont exactly remember what it is called and i think the name is P51 or something like that. It cost about $1,299, and I was wondering if anyone knew what this was, and maybe the brand name if possible, thanx for the help.

The P-51 is an intake manifold made for Mod motor stangs by Fox Lake.

Yup, and I think it's a waste of money, for the little gain that was achieved out of it, by testing from MM&FF or 5.0 Mustang. I don't remember which mag it was at the moment.

thanx, i went to the Fox Lake web-site and that was it, also, they mentioned a 4.6L 2V engine. I was wondering what does the 2V mean? I've never heard of anyone referring to this motor as 2V. Again. thanx for the help.

A single over head cam motor is also known as a 2 valve motor. A dual over head cam motor is also know as a 4 valve motor.

well really 2V means 2 ventoris, which started off from the carb days. although it was commonly mistaken as a "2 valve carb" it was a "2 ventori carb". the valves and the ventoris have nothin to do with each other, except that they are both part of a carb.
