ford festiva electrical problem

whenever I shut down the engine of my 1991 ford festiva the main fuse
near the battery blows. On replacing the fuse the car starts and runs normally till I shut it down and it happens again. Please help if anyone knows the proble. Thanks

I had this problem Best i can remember it was the cooling fan drawing to many amps.

Replace the 25 amp main fuse with a 35 amp unit. This was a Ford TSB so you're not alone in experiencing it.
