just purchased a 95 s10

hello, i've just bought a 95 chevy s10, and also new to this site. well, this is my chance to introduce myself. HI~!, i'm chris~!.. well,... yea.. because im not familiar with this truck, (birthday present from my dad), i wanted to ask all the proz out there what i should look out for, what is cheap to mod, and what i should mod first. the vehicle is a 95 chevy s10 V6, and thats about all i know bout the car because it is still in my dad's mechanics garage. i was thinking of getting an K&N intake, but not still quite worried that im just going to waste the money. so, any imputs would be greatly appreciated.

An intake kit from K&N wouldnt be a bad idea.
You didnt specify your budget or if your just looking for bolt-on performance.

First think I would do is remove the stock fan and replace with an electric fan. Flex-a-lite sells a fan just for your truck or you can go with a universal one. Dont get a cheapy though. You will see a noticable improvement.

you can find a lot of goodies on ebay.

If you have the money go for Edelbrocks tubular exhaust system.Its a set of headers and a Y pipe. Then maybe a high flow CAT, Flowmaster muffler and your style of tailpipe. :iceslolan

your truck is a 4.3 liter vortec engine, its the first year of vortec. i have the same truck same year.

I m not sure about what you like lowered raised what?? But i have some 95 parts. I did a dash change in mine. 95-98+ working on changing the front to a 98 look. I personally didnt like the squared off dash in it. I might still have a 3 inch drop for the back if interested email me [email protected]
