ok, now my car seems to hate me.. i have no idea what i did! The oil pressure when i first turn on the car now shoots up near the 80 mark on my guage, but slowly goes down as i drive.. and the engine makes kindof a "wooooo" sound.. almost sounds like its howling, but later stops when the pressure goes down.. it freakin sucks.. and my battery seems to be losing power as a result, because my car would not start this morning.. does anyone else think i should just put a brick on the accelerator n watch it sink into Lake Michigan??

The LT1 is a nice engine...a lot of potential if you know what you want. Some like the LT1 better than the LS1. Dont let a few little problems get you down...Has your check engine light come on at all?

sounds like an intermittant electrical problem, well, except for the whine sound. ya might wanna have that looked at.

thats strange, cuz if theres an internal problem i would expect the oil pressure to drop, not go up, right? clogged filter? maybe something is stuck in your intake, not sure how else to diagnose a 'wooo' sound :-p

could have a stuck bypass valve in the oil pump. too much oil pressure can be as bad as too little

had the oil changed today, i was 50 miles over and it was pretty dirty! also replaced the air filter, and after emptying my pockets on the damn thing.. the sound has disappeared.. my guess is that the fact that the air filter was trashed was probably why it was making the whining sound.. right after i changed it, it stopped making the sound.. now the oil pressure is fine as well, no idea why it was so high.. the battery power is still low.. which leads me to believe that my alternator may be going bad? which isnt that bad, those arent that expensive to replace..
