Early on in my freshmen year at a small liberal arts college on the Hudson River, I wandered into the cafeteria for dinner one night with a group of people whom I hardly knew. Noticing that the soda machine was empty except for Mountain Dew. Remembering that Mountain Dew was said to a dye that negatively affected your sperm count, I made the following joke, and recieved the following response:

ME: Heh, looks like our school is trying to cut down on its population of bastards.


HER: Actually, I am a bastard.


ME: I.. uh....


They didn't bother with me after that.
