Heya,
I own a '77 320/4. Recently, I have noticed a flatspot at in the rev-range of my car, and the idle is erratic. I'm almost certain it's a problem with the carburettor, as I had to have a kit fitted in January of this year. That fixed it for 4 or so months, but then the situation just deteriorated.
I think the current carburettor is the original (so it's 27 years old), and is just worn, though the car has only done 188000Kms (300,800 miles) over that time. Should I buy a new (for instance, Weber) carburettor, or will that work the engine too hard and cause more problems? Or should I get an old carbie from a wrecker, and chance that I'll be in the same position?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

if your sure it's a carb problem, the Weber kits run just fine, but be sure the ignition is okay [the points aren't burnt or closed] before condemming your carb!.........
