Stupid Question

How do i make a picture of my car show up next to my Thread?

lol, i asked the same question when i was new to the forums :p okay, you go to user CP at the top and then click on avatar and that will tke you tot he "edit your avatar" screen. here you can upload a pic of your choice from your computer or you can use an avatar from an internet site.

One thing i am not sure about though is if you will have to manually reduce the size of the pic before loading it as an avatar or if that is automatically done. Anyway thats how its done mate.

why does this always get called a stupid question???? no one expects newbs to know how to do that. we all had to ask before we did it (unless there are just some fancy pants people that are better than the rest of us who figured it out by themselves ;) ) now if you ask like ten times i might start to move you over to the stupid catagory ;)

okay boss i'll help you out again. go to http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/index.php

and click on "upload photos" and from there you can browse your com and upload a pic that you want as your sig. The picture has to be less than 80kb in size by the way. Okay, after you've uploaded the pic click on "my gallery " and then click on the photo youi want as your sig. the link will appear under the photo, copy it.

then get back to the forums and go to user CP and pick Signature. there you'll have a window where you can type in anything you want in your signature and you can PASTE the link to the photo and it should show up. good luck.
