Wuz up y'all. I have a 97 v6 stang. I did a neutral drop with my car and I wanted to know if anyone can tell me how do I check to see if my transmission is still working properly or what are some signs too look for to see if there is any damage to my transmission? One more question I have a stock exhaust on my car and the muffler, the Y pipe and the tail pipe has got a lot of rust on it and after I did the neutral drop the exhuast is sounding deep and loud whenever I accelerate and I looked under the car and can't see any holes or anything in the muffler or the tail pipe can anyone tell me where I should look to see where there might be damage? Can that noise be from the transmission? Thanks

Start the car and feel around your exhaust for a hole, you normally dont see them on old pipe until they are starting to rust out and get burnt (black) around then edge of the hole. ^ "Dont do it again genious!" ^ Ya dont. Also be glad you didnt tear your rearend out or brake an axel. Stalling a car is 1 thing, but never neutral drop it.

Don't neutral drop it, powerbrake. You could have destroyed a lot on that car for that.

Power breaking is where you hold the breaks down with the car in gear and bring up your rpms to a good launching point (practice to learn the best place for your ride). Then let go of the break.

Tranny slipping might feel like the car is in nuetral while in gear.
