well i stumbled apon a site nippon-motors.com, and are selling a

88-93
Supra Turbo,
DOHC,
RWD
7MGTE
3.0 L
V6
$795

i was wondering if this will work on a 89 mr2? and before anyone tells me "look in the past posts" i did like 12 pages back.

same answer as with any swap: if you want to spend enough money and have enough skill.

you'd need a mid engine capable transmission for that, and with everything the engine/tranny wouldnt fit

esp. in a first gen car. a 3sgte swap is difficult enough

well i really have my heatr set on it, and can get the supra engine, and a tranny to fit. but what tranny would you recomend i use? i really want this swap to happen. thanx

i don't think it would work. the engine block is too long, and it uses an inline transmission. maybe if you cut out of the body and had 2 cyl sticking out the side of the car you could get it to fit...

that's why the mk2 swaps use the camry v6

why not put the 800 bucks towards a 4agze? or a 4agte?

ya that would be a better idea, the supra engine just has a sentimental family valuw thing. but its cool, the 4agze or 4agte would probably be what im ending up doing. but idk, im not all into doing things that alot of people have done before, but thats just the way it is i guess

i've only ever seen 2 4agte powered mk1's, i'm sure there are more, but still a very rare car.
