Roof bars for a 1993 Estima with "j" roof

I have recently bought a 1993 "j" roof Estima from an importer. during the negotiation stage of the sale I asked the guy whether it would be possible to buy/fit roof bars to it, he assured me that there would be no trouble either finding or fitting roof bars.
unfortunately this has not been the case.
Has any body out there got any idea where or even if I would be able to find some roof bars? and if I do find some, will they fit on a "j" roof? cheers in advance. Min
