The unanswered questions one is interesting.

hmmmm.... I've only seen a few reports that quote an Iraqi officer saying he was never arrested by them. I'm not sure if I believe them or not as it seems to be only a blurb on (what looks to me) somewhat obscure news outlets.
---------------------------
Why was Nick Berg, a Jew, dumped in the middle of hostile Arab territory?
Dumped? Does that mean he was forced there against his will? What does being a Jew have any bearing on it?
Constant references to Bush regime. Nice use of synonyms.
---------------------------
Democratic Underground? Sheesh.... The faked moon landing bunch did a much better job.
---------------------------
Those are very weak conspiracy theories. They don't even try and hide their disdain for the executive branch.

Well it was reoprted that Berg's family had to go to court to be able to get him released from FBI/CIA detention...that's a little worrysom
Also it was released on the internet and no one is able to track it's source...yet they were able to track down the cerator of the sasser virus within days...:sly:

There was a reward for the Sasser virus and the people who knew the maker turned him in. Hardly apples to apples.
There is nothing unusual about a parent trying to get their kid out of jail. Happens thousands of times a day around the world.

I saw on the news that Nick Berg's dad is a leader of some sort of anti-war organization, and that his son was in Iraq to help Iraqis rebuild an infrastructure, as a matter of fact...hmmm...

I didn't know about his dad being part of an anti-war organization. He did supposedly go to Iraq to help rebuild. But he wasn't under contract with any company or anyone. He went there looking for work. Which in itself he should have known the possibilty of what can happen to Americans. Supposedly he's also gone to Africa to look for work too.
I'm still trying to figure out why he had a beard similar to the culture there. If he was trying to fit in more or what.

Nothing unsual about Berg being held captive by US amry illegally for 13 days? FBI made 3 visits prior to his release and kidnapping and all they said was that they were asking questions on what he is doing in Iraq? Having a "miscommunication" on whether he was being detained by Iraqi police or US personel? :sly:

Define for me "held captive by the US arymy illegally for 13 days" Was he detained or arrested - Yes. There is no doubt about that. Using terms like captive and illegal are really twisting the terms around. Its another (somewhat) creative use of synonyms. The fact he was arrested is not illegal. The fact it took 13 days to sort out whatever the problem was seems a bit much, but I'm sure the FBI doesn't have a large field presense in Iraq.

I heard it on NPR that the FBI who was investigating the incident said that it was. I didn't say I believed it I said I heard it was closed. Anyway I am holding off judgment till there is solid proof one way or the other.
I am very suspicious of conspiracy theories in general. That doesn't mean some may not be true but it seems like everyone has one on everything that happens in the world.

Well it's a matter of believing or not. Some have an eye to see "weird" things such as the 9/11 incident where there was this man who made a book on it. One of his points was when he was referring to the plane crashing into the pentagon, the size of the whole did not match the size of a plane and also there were no traces of any plan material. Now not many people can prove that wrong because most of us weren't there and did not take measurments and the others can't prove it right for the same reasons (although there were pictures of it)...still. Those that beleiev in conspiacies need answers to unaswered questions, and the ones that have the answers are speechless

Hitler is alive and well in Canada. This is for real. Someone has claimed they can trace his steps from Germany to Canada and they have seen him. Do I believe them? Are you kidding? Even if it were true who cares? Would it change the outcome of the war?
Kennedy was shot not by one person but by two. Does it matter now? No.
Some people look for the weird because they are suspiciuos of everything. Good for them.Let them Live their life in fear and suspicion of everyone and everything thinking everything is a conspiracy and that everyone is out to get them.
No thanks. A little suspicion is good. A little mistrust is good. It just shouldn't be an all consuming thing.

I do get worrysome also. I have enough to worry about I don't need something else.
About the plane crashing into the pentagon. What would have been the point of just blowing a hole in the pentagon?
Maybe it was the only way they could get the new windows they had been asking for or the new carpet they had their eye on. (That last part was just kidding obviously.)

The reason I don't know and I doubt anyone here can tell (convince) you of a reason. But there has been some idea's going around about the Nick Berg conspiracy about diverting the attention from the Iraqi POW mistreatment. If you read on the links I posted above, there is one you'll come across that might intrigue you...Im referring to the movie breakdown one, he states that the vide of Nick Berg's death was shot before the pictures of the Iraqi mistreatment were out

I did read those links and believe me I do find them fascinating. I hope for the sake of everyone in the US that conspiracy is not the case. That would make things much worse than they already are. If it was a set up then I would have to say it's the worse setup I have ever seen. How could someone be so dumb as to make such a bad editing job and hope to get away with it? I think that's the only thing that makes me believe it may not be one unless it is someone trying to make people believe it was a set up. Who knows? Time hopefully will tell.

Anyhow, reading "what other people have written" in other threads, is what gives me the above impression.
Besides, if you have a point, just say it, as what I have mentioned notwithstanding, I have no other clue as to what relevance "what other people have written" is to this discussion, because as far as I know, the assessment of "bias to relative truths" that I made in my last post in this thread is supported by "what other people have written"...

The scary thing is that time can't tell. It all depends on if we can get a hold of it...I mean look at the Iraqi mistreatment pictures and videos, they were released 2 months after they really happened and there is more and more tapes and pictures that are now under national security because of the Berg incident (one of the points dicussed in the conspiracy theory) We already have a hold of the tape, we have got many questions in regards of it and te events prior to the footage, but who do we ask?
