unbalanced 454 hurt trany?

Hello all,
This is my first post.
I recently had a rebuilt 454 installed and have had nothing but problems since. First the motor runs really rough at idle like it's missing. The mechanic said he "wondered" if the motor was balanced. About 700+- miles after install the torqe converter went out on the transmission. Can an unbalanced motor cause the torque converter to go bad? \

If your vibrating at idle because of a ballance problem, you would need like a ..........piston missing!

You have an-other problem, time to start some serious
trouble shooting.

And no, the engine did not hurt your tranny!
