After 2001 the filters were deleted. But if you have an 00-01, here you go.
1. Remove everything from the glove box and keep open.
2. Reach behind the glove box on each side there is a plastic tab you need to squeeze and push inwards (one at a time).
3. Then lift the glove box off the bottom 2 hinges and remove.
4. There are 2 phillips screws at the bottom of the plastic cover, remove them
5. There are also 2 phillips screws at the top of the plastic cover on each side, remove those 2 as well and then the plastic cover should come right out.
6. Now you will be able to see where the air purifier/filter is located. You need to remove the 2 phillips screws (one bottom-left and one top-right)
7. Once those 2 screws are remove, pull out the air purifier/filter out. It slides straight out.
8. The air purifier/filter looks like this, once removed (As you can see, I need to clean mine too)
The size of the air purifier/filter is: 8.5" x 7.25" and the OEM Part Number is: MR500360. Approximate cost (from dealership) would be $35.00-$55.00). I have heard other members cleaning their own filter with clorox bleach by soaking it for awhile, or I have heard other members buying their own filter from Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Good Luck!
