Emissions Breaks.

I dont know if this is a good idea, but i was thinking, shouldn't rotary powered cars not have to pass emuissions?
I mean, think about the amount of rotaries in the US vs the amount of regular cars. Rotary powerd cars have to make up less than 10% of cars on the road today. The amount of tailpipe emissions emitted by these cars had to be less than all other cars.
So why cant we get a break (prolly cause the federeal govt wants everyone's money).
Next forbidden rx-7 swap - toyota hybrid engine in se3p

The amount of any kind of car in the total of all polluters in the U.S. has nothing to do with why emissions are in place. Rotaries pollute just like piston engines do, there is no legitamite reason for them to be exempt.
Basically 1 rotary pollutes just as much if not more than 1 piston engine. It doesn't matter that there are less rotaries, they are all cars and they all pollute.

move to the midwest... most states around me don't have emmissions
thats one of the few good things about Kansas which I'm sure devoutwankelist can agree with
but I saw in the paper that in 2 years we might start getting emmission test every 2 years :(

Cheating an FC through emissions is so easy its painful... I have to certify EVERY year, with a visual and Dyno, and I pass EVERY year... Just gotta know the tricks!!

Honestly, I left because of certain people... You not being one of them of course...
Okay on to the Emissions. First things first, what are your emissions requirements? Visual? Visual+idle test? Visual + Idle + Dyno?
This information dictates what you have to do to get your car through emissions...

well, there are SEVERAL different tricks you can use to get an FC through emissions.. Some will work even if the Catylist is shot...
Lets take a look at different situations:
Fails Idle:
Okay, few things you can do here. You can trick the ACV into pumping air into the cats all the time by removing the top forward vac line, and capping it. You can turn your Variable Resistor down, its the only thing controlling your idle mixture...Your o2 sensor aint doing squat. Some people just run a line straight from the air pump to the Cat... That seems to work here in AZ, but i have never had to resort to that. Run alcohol, that works WONDERS for the sniffer check. There is a formula for that I will post later for doing that... Only downside is, you cant run your car hard till you get that alcohol diluted again.
Now if you dont have to pass a visual, then you dont even need to worry about all this.. You can pretty much remove your ACV, and run the pump direct to the cats...
I will post more later... I gotta run..

I dont do anything worse than other people. The people who dont like me are some of the moderators because they are used to non-mods kissing their ass. I do not, therefore (although they wont admit it) they are intimidated by me and are waiting for me to fuck something up so they can ban me. They say I have I have a big ego because of this... When its actually the opposite, all I'm doing is sticking up for myself and not taking their shit.
