Toyota Vitz-electonic problem

My daughter's 1999 Vitz is showing an orange light (helicopter shape), next to the O/D light in the dashboard. Does anybody know what this is, and what needs to be done?

That's a check engine light. (CEL) It means that the computer (ECU) is reading an error from somewhere in the car.

A dealer or repair shop will be able to read the codes from the ECU and detect the problem.

i'm sure something is wrong with my cpu.
last week my speedo was reading 118mph....
