Color question for VW Golf v5 with pic

Hey all just a little colour question :smile:

What colour from the tamiya range would I use to get a color like this

I am limited to tamiya as it is all i can get from the local :banghead:

any tips for a paint newbie on how to get this effect?

Buy automotive paint in spray they will mix it to be the same as one on picture, I am shure you have some paint shops near you.

also you could try out www.paintscratch.com, they also will match it to factory in an aerosal

i think automotive paint might be a bit hard to come by as you cant get Imola Yellow here in New Zealand.

Does anybody know the name of the color used on the Porsche 911? i think there is a yellow along the same lines even if it is a bit darker

I think the closest you ll get it Tamiya Camel Yellow over white primer, has a bit of a dark yellow - orangy tint in it, which might suit you well

It looks more like Tamiya's lemon yellow than camel, at least to me!!:(, or maybe a mix of both :2cents:

It's closer to lemon yellow IMO.
Here are the Porsche paint codes that you've asked for.

L12G Speed Yellow <<< The darkest yellow from Porsche.
L12L Pastel Yellow <<< Light
L12M Pastel Yellow <<< Medium

Mmm thats a nice looks like a 20th ann with a buster hood... I am goin to get a carbonfiber buster hood for my jetta wolf.
