Started this kit alittle whiel ago. Took a while to get the body right, all things considered this is a very poor quality kit. THe body had to be puttied, sanded, sanded again and then finally sanded. Panel lines were widended and so forth...
ALso started working on the engine, the engine is a piece of art in real life (although still a crappy kit) and decided to add some wiring, sensors, carbon fiber airbox, some proper decals by "Last Deatil" company. They have all the proper oil, battery and underhood decals as well as proper stripes.
The color is going to be gunmetal mettalic with white stripes. WHeels are currently undecided, but I like the looks of some seriously wide rubber in the back.
The exhaust is custom metal tubbing, enlarged to 85mm tips. will keep updates coming, please comment!

Dude, I hope it turns out like Paul Mumford's car. That car and that guy were awesome.
And stomped the hell out of some Skyline's and Supra's for the Ultimate Street Car Challenge top spot a few years back. So sad that he passed on.

Thanks Antonio! Yes, the car will be metallic gunmetal color with white stripes. There will be a few custom touches like the rims, brakes and performance exuast as well as a relatively new interior, but otherwise I am not goin to mess with the shape of the car.

Hey SLK320,
You've got a knack for engine detail! And gun-metal/dark colored paint jobs...The GT2, Charger, 510, Enzo(all are burned into my mind)!
I agree with the others on the silver detail with the intake...good stuff. I'm curious. What are all the various wires? Is the one going through the middle a throttle cable?
Sweet exhaust too!
Keep the current wheels, they're just right.

I don't have many pics of my viper, plus it's not detailed at all. It's just a smooth paint job and wheels.

Man that looks astounding. I'd like to see some outdoor pics, or maybe if you had a nice bright desktop lamp to turn on when you take the pics. It's kinda hard to see how well you bring out the detail in the cars with such dark pics.
I love the way you detailed the viper, the red interior sleekly matches the dark body. The BBS wheels look awesome, more than at home under the wheel wells of the viper.

SLK,
You're killin' me with these gunmetal/dark cars! You're work is always amazing but I can't see the body lines. That aside, excellent choice of wheels. I like the flocking/use of the stock wheel in the back.
There's an exhaust, where?
Are those 2F2F seats/steering wheel?
The 2nd from left gauge looks a little lower than the others.

Thanks for all your comments.
the exhaust is locted in the rear fascia below the rear licence plate. look carefully and you will find it.
Body lines = Panel lines, they are done in black, with better lighting you should be able to see them.
They are, indeed 2F2F seats, the steering wheel came from Viper.
The second from the left gauage is a little off... can't fis it now th9ough :( besides I don't think its going to be that visible anyway.
