hey peeps im on the last leg of my b16 buildup and i need to attach that little spring onto the tensioner, but im not sure where it gets connected to.
i took these shots from my cell phone so please let them go. i circled the two points where i think the tensioner must attach, but im prolly wrong.
this picture is where i think the spring attaches, but im not sure, this is just to the left of the motor mount location.

The spring setup is kind of cheesy, there should be a post sticking out at about 11 o'clock from where the tensioner bolts on and about a 1/2" away(possibly the one in your first pic). The spring simply hooks on it...kinda like a screen door spring.

wow thats real weak, does the spring go on first with the bolt holding it down, or does it just hang on the end?

Real weak? Real weak would be your reading and comprehension skills......"The spring simply hooks on it" in no way shape or form resembles..."with the bolt holding it down" but it does kind of resemble..."just hang on the end"
