Does anyone here have a BOSE system in their car (stock)

IF u do.. did u put any subs or amp add on the system... i hooked up 2 12' with a 1000 w amp onto a stock BOSE headunit... it worked.. well did.. and now it doesn't... my friend hooked it up for me.... and now.. i think the problem is the wires aren't in well or somethin'.. cuz now the subs are completely off.. and it seems like the amp is draining my battery... cuz one nite i drove around... my lights went on and off real quick.. and happened about 2 times.. and when i turned of the engine. it wouldn't turn back on.. until i turn on the headlights first then turn on the engine it works.. but now it's fine.. b/c the subs don't bang.. can someone tell me what's up...

(all these problems with my max)

first of all, u have to get a separate battery for ur amp.....it`s a tall round cylinder shape, and if u get the expensive ones, it`ll say the voltage on the battery (digital display)....n e ways.....ur amp is too powerful for the alternator, that`s y u need to buy it (battery 4 amp)..
.....and where did u hook up the input for the amp?....i hooked it to the rear speakers so that i wont affect n e thing on my bose headunit....
...mine still works fine, 7 months now.....i run a kenwood 300W and 2 ten inch kenwood subs that could hold up to 1000W and my amp cant hold it so sometimes when its loud, it drains so much voltage that the head unit turns off, because the alternator cant hold up....and did u hook up the "remote" wire on ur amp?.....cuz if u dont, ur amp will be always on..!!!:D....and when u rev ur engine....never ever rev ur engine unless u got the battery for the amp...!!.cuz when the engine goes from 600RPM to over 3000RPM it drains A LOT of voltage and most of the things will run really weird until u turned off everything and re-start ur egine.....sounds like rebotting a comp....:D :D ...if u hooked it to the head unit, u might burn something....i almost did that one time by connecting it to the headunit but i was lucky i just burned a fuse....almose had to spent $1000canadian...!!! ;)

you don't necessarily need a second battery, go to best buy and get a car stereo capacitor. well, don't go buy one yet, ask around and make sure thats all you need. It would suck to buy the cap and find out you need asecond battery

Ok first... i have 2 12's and a 1000 watt amp... i also hooked it up to the rear speakers... how does that not effect your headunit.. i was wonderin'... also.. i have it hooked up to the cig burner thing... so i guess that's the remote thing you are talkin' bout... how much do you think the "round cylinder battery would worth?" and i think my wires are also messed up... thanx...

okay, well, i gut had a terrible accident last night so my briane is still not fuctioning raelly well.....okay the "battery" i was talking about is the stereo capacitor mickey_thacker was talking about.....it`ll be around $150canadian....ao about $100 US....yeh the remote i also connected that way.....just check ur wireings.....as for the inputs....dont wory about them.....the amp is just taking very very little power away from them to get some signal for the sound.....good luck.....wish me , my friends luck too...

When I had my BOSE system I added two 12" subs and 1000 watt amp with no problems and no other items. If it is hooked up correctly you can do it with just the amp and the subs and that BOSE bypass unit.
