Hydraulic transmission Question

Now Im not realy to sure on the definition of this but Im guessing its basically like power steering right? Just assists? Any way some of the Front Clips Ive been looking at say it has a Hydralic 5 speed transmission, Now Ive driven a Hydralic tranny in a Ford Probe and I gotta say I fn hated it you dont gotta put the clutch to the floor to shift but it feels akward as shit. Does the clutch feel any diff wtih the SR20 tranny then it does with the KA?

Does aaaaaanybody have sumfin to say?

i thought it was something to do with how the clutch was engaged, like some use a fluid, and some use a chain?

the differnce is between hydrolic, (using preasure) and cable (mechanical). i've driven both, hydrolic is nicer. cable feel more like you need your foot all the way to the floor. but they both work just as well.

My firebird had a hydraulic clutch and my SHO has a cable one, I would rather have the hydraulic one a any day.

oh ok. Idk the feel of the hydraulic Tranny feels weird to me. But cable is abit more touchy though. Still its like in the Probe the clutch pedal would drop all the way down to the floor and stick there for a sec

it probably didnt have enough pressure in it...maybe the fluid was low, my hydro clutch works just fine, i can sidestep(w/out it in gear or on the gas) it and it comes out right away, doesnt sit for a second

yup check you fluid, my slave cylinder poped and was leaking, the clutch felt weak till eventually car couldn't shift. Put a new one in, topped the fluid, felt like a virgin, TIGHT!!!!!!!!!

lol naw I dont own the car this was me test driving one. lol and the brakes went out on the bitch to lmao someone tried to steal it and cut the brake lines or some shit on the front. So Any way I was rolling down the Street like 75mph testing it, well I have to say THANK GOD it was a stick After the fckinb back brakes barely worked I healed and toe down shifted Pulled the fn E brake the SHIT locked up instantly my ass started coming around I fucking saw a Intersection I turned the wheel left real hard so I could understeer and cut off some speed the bitch started to come all the way around at the intersection so I counter steered to the e Brake off went into the other lane and stayed in 2nd gear the whole way back. Woo thank god there wasnt any cars coming in that opposite lane or I woulda been fucked.
