where in so cal. im in the riverside area so the one i deal with most is called J&M speed center. if your looking for performance parts thats where to go. for machine work or engine building i use Dougan's engine and machine. they also have some parts in house like cams and stuff i know for sure but probably some other too. there are alot of other places too but those are the two main places that i use but i do all my building myself so i dont need anyone else pretty much.

Team C Performance in Bellflower
Service Center and Hot Rod Performance in Torrance
Blairs Speed Shop in Pasadena (60 years in business)

All these are hard-core performace and race shops that also build engines, etc. GOOD LUCK!

67Chevelle, J&M? I didn't know they were still around! They had a shop on Base Line in Berdoo many years ago, but it was gone last time I was home. Is Danny Fox still associated with them? I knew him as a young man. He had the nicest '57 fuel injected Chevy BelAir I ever saw!

I lived in Torrance up untill 6 mos ago and the speed shop on Hawthorne is gone, they closed shop about a year ago, damn shame too, good people, always ready with advice from thier years of experience, they worked my vortecs over for me.
Now I'm in Springfield/Eugene Oregon and have no idea where to go, BUT!, there's no smog check here!! damn shame is the people around here will cut off thier mufflers and figure it's a hotrod, lol.

Horry and Fuzzy!

Correction - The Service Center, formerly on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance, is not closed. They moved to larger quarters on Narbonne Avenue in nearby Lomita, California. Hardcore engine-building, fabrication, parts, nitrous refills, advice.

Thanks for the info sub, I must have missed the relocating sign, I just saw CLOSED and felt a bit sad, they were in thier old location for as long as I can remember, things are changing so much down there I automaticly figured they were dust in the wind like most things from the good old days, It's good to hear they are still around.
The last time I was in to them I seg, that they get some sort of website up.
Too bad I'm too far away now to utilize thier services.
