this is the reason I came to this site.about 6 months ago my front rotors were goin bad.I bought new one from napa ( high perform ones with a life time warranty) they lasted about 2 to 3 weeks before the front end wobble started again.I got a new set a month ago and they started the wobble about 2 weeks ago.I never had any problems for 33,000 miles on the original ones until they started acting up.now I have been thru 2 sets in the past few months, any ideas? my mechanic is ase certified and works on all our cars(23 between me my dad and brother) and even he cant believe it.so thats why I'm here.any comments or help would be great!

well lets see first off you need better than autozone rotors and you need to make sure that your mechanic no matter how goo they are, are not over torqueing your rims when they put them back on.
i had the same trouble with mine, it seems to be a trademark for the 4th gen's. powerslot rotors stopped almost all the warping on my rotors so you can check them out first. dont bother with anything that says cross drilled they are worthless. just get the slotted ones and then check back with us and tell us how much you like them.....
you should also get some good brake pads like hawks or something else nice. check out thunderracing they have a good deal on brake packages

I have 02 ws6 with 28000 mile and have turned the rotors three times and chaged the pads on front once( then relized the pads still had like 50% material left) Next time rotors warp i will prob. buy a new vented set. I think alot of T/As have brake problems or I could just brake to heavy or too much.

all of the lt1s had problems but they made a superior braking sytstem on the ls1's so you already have better brakes than me. but really all you need to do is get a set of slotted rotors and all your troubles will be gone. your rotors are already vented.

I have better than autozone rotors and they are torqued to pontiacs specs of100lbs.they are also slotted/vented and cross drilled for maximum cooling.it has to be something else.this is the 2nd set of rotors in 3 months.

Could you have a cliper piston or slide sticking thereby causing it to overheat?

this site will explain a little bit about why you are warping your rotors.
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=177024&highlight=brake+warpingthis site argues about the powerslot rotors that i suggested
http://www.baer.com/Products/EradiSpeed.aspx
these are pretty much the best stock replacement rotors you can get for your car
after that you will need to replace your calipers and brake lines and fluid to make your system perfect
you could also upgrade your brakes to the c5 style but you need at least 17 inch rims and a special adapter, but they are sick brakes
sorry i can't find the web site for brake cooling ducts, but its pretty simple you just buy 20 bucks worth of home depot air ducting and cut holes in your air damn and well the rest is kind of self explanitory
good luck if you need any more info or have any more specific questions im sure we can help you out
