Help paint prep

Well i have a 90 300zx and i wanna get it painted but i wanna do the prep work my self... could someone please give me a detailed description of how to sand and primer the car thanx

Try looking through a search engine for pages about paint work or a library near you. You can usually find what you'll need. But I know that alot of paint shops are wary of spraying a car that they didn't prep. And I also know that prep usually isn't too bad cost wise and is alot of work to do by hand yourself. If you can, see if you can get someone who does spray work on the side or someone in college for automotive painting to do the work. Just be careful about who you choose, no sense having to get it painted twice because it got screwed up the first time.
