a/c help pls!

96 1.6L, 169K, manual... i've bought this car at 7000 and don't remember the ac ever working. it blows really cold air but the engine stalls as soon as i let off the gas. even after i turn off the ac the engine continues to stall at idle which usually lasts the next 24 hrs. anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

yeah. raise your idle rpms. bring them up a bit. that should do it!

umm, yeah, you wouldn't happen to be able to tell me where that idle thingy is at would you?

yeah. right under the throttle body control thing. its a little screw. just look at where the accelerator cable gets to, then look under that for a little screw-like thing. its kind of hard to move it. get someone who can help you.
