i was just driving normal on a hot day and i stopped to talk to a friend and when i was about to leave i saw steam coming from under my hood. coolant was all over the ground and after unscrewing the radiator cap and all the coolant come blasting out i figured that my fan wasn't working to keep the radiator cool. how would i fix the fan so it will work again. 85 regal limited 2.8

Where was the coolant coming from??? Did you check the hoses, weep hole on the water pump, crack or bad solder joint in radiator. Blown freeze plug, fan belt?

Do you have an electric fan or a mechanical fan with a clutch.

If electric fan check the fan by applying voltage to the fan, check fan relay, check fan switch, check fuse, wireing.

If mechanical replace fan clutch.

First find out where the coolant was leaking from. A sudden coolant loss indicates that something blew like a hose or water pump.
