ok...last night we were hanging out at the local place down in waldorf and this tt supra pulls up and parks next to one of my buddys with an nsx...they decide they wanna go down to this deserted road and lay $1000 on the race everyone wants to see....(later on we found out that the nsx beat the supra by like 2-3 car lengths...) but the exciting part is the way there, the nsx, supra and us(srt4) left all at the same time and were on our way down, so the supra pulls up beside us (my hubby was driving) and we go...supra is very slowly pulling, but not by much, i was soooo happy...then at the next light we were next to the nsx, to my surprise we kept right up with him,(of course he was at least a lil ahead of us) but we stayed right with him!!! i almost jumped out of the car with excitement!....it was so great, now i know for sure we can hang with the big boys!!! :jump3:

Good stuff!
...Now take out a grand on your credit card, spend it on more power, then race the Supra tt to make your money back. Nothing like free mods...

what do you run ur 1/4 mile in?
TatII
05-13-2004, 01:50 PM
well the SRT4 is not really much of a 1/4 mile beast since it has to deal with wheel spin off the line. however like most turbo hondas, they are monsters on the highway where traction isn't an issue, and its lightweight with a more efficient drive train.

Supra was most likely stock or just BPU, as fer the NSX never really thought of them as " Highway Monsters" Roll racing is funner than light to light anyways!

300 hp in a light car, light meaning compared to those cars but thats bound to do some damage, got to love that hp to weight ratio. keep on modding and keep on killing good job :iceslolan

More efficient than MR? Becuase in that layout you've got the engine over the drive wheels just as well... Just nit pickin...

when i say more efficent, i mean that it has less power train loss. your MR and the NSX's setup is basically a transverse setup that only uses 2 sets of gears ( input and output shafts ). the same can be said with a front wheel drive. transverse transmissions are proven to eat away less power then a longitudgionally mounted engine such as a RWD, which has 3 sets of gears ( input shaft, counter shaft, and output shaft ) see what i mean? so on a highway roll in 3rd gear when traction is usually not the issue, it will put down more power to the wheels without having to spin them. where as compared to the supra, the supra has a less efficient drivetrain ( in power draining wise ). however yes you caught me on the nsx part. since they are also a transverse set up.
