OK, so i was driving this guys GS-T and i'm a noob to DSM but when I was shifting into gears, you had to be pretty firm with it and wanted to make sure that this was pretty normal... or if this could be something bad.

dont want this to be a sign of the dreaded "crank-walk".

I have a GS-T 5 speed and the only time i have to be firm is when it is cold, 2nd gear is a bit a pain in the ass but other than that it is nice and flows well compared to my other sticks i have driven. I have no knowledge of crankwalk so wait till other guys tell ya IMO

I don't think "firm shifting" is a sign of CW. If it is only doing it while it is cold, and then it gets better as the car warms up it IS normal :) It is supposably in the manual as being normal :).

short shifter will make 'harder' shifts, however he may need to adjust the clutch pedal just a smigen...
