I replaced my water pump after the shop I took it to unsed a machine that caused the pump to blow out. After getting the nessary part off to fix it I proceeded to put it all back together. While putting on the timing belt I didnt notice that the exhaust cam move one tooth. Somehow some way I hit that 1 in a million chance of mis-aligned cams that did not cause any damage to my motor. I did not want to press my luck any further than I already had so I took it to the shop to get fixed. I decided to replace the timing belt and tensioner assemby. After he fixed the car he got the timing right then took it for a test drive. He came back and told me my clutch needed adjusting. Now here were is gets a little strange. He adjusts my clutch and takes another mechanic along for the test drive. Do you know how strange it feels to see your car take off out the parking lot like a bat out of hell with it's ass on fire? :eek7: I mean he laid rubber. I was a little upset because he squawked the tires got from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd. How he chirped the tires going from 2nd to 3rd I'll never know. Well a few minutes later they return. He's smiling like the Chester Cat and the other mechanic is nice shade of pale white. He comes back into the office and the first thing he says to me is this. "You have a nice car. It handles nice especially in the turns and has great pick-up." Ok that took me off guard. Then he says "I adjusted the clutch because it was slipping but it's not slipping anymore. oh and becareful with your car it's not the same as before." I pay the shop and the first thing I notice is how quiet the car is. I get into the car and take off. The guy was right it's not the same car I had before. I love this car. The first thing my g/f does is grab the "OH SHIT!!" bar and holds on for dear life as I go thru the gears. I can't wait for the weekend so can take the car out and look for some fun. :evillol:
