Can anyone give me any good ideas of how to custom build and to hook up a ram air system using a ram air hood?
Thanks for any help!

Here we go again.
Do a search about ram air and you'll see the facts. Waste of money.

It is a waste of money as far as buying a new hood and ram air system from scratch, but its not a waste of money if the car comes that way. I made passes in my Mach 1 with the scoop closed off, and it created about 2-3 tenths difference on the time slip, and about 3 mph. So, if a few tenths is worth a new hood and ram air system to you, go for it!! Thats total proof that it does work, but you have to get your air intake for the ram air system well into the airstream. I raised my scoop on my car about a full inch..(suggested by the Chief Engineer of the Mach) Good luck!

I already have the ram air hood.
So how would you suggest I build one.
Would you look at my car at http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/568014 and tell me what you think.
Thanks for the imput man.

It would be hard for me to tell you how to start. Try talking to a speed shop, or a shop that deals with performance mods. Just make sure water and dust stays out.. Is the hood functional? Does the air intakes go thru to the motor? If not, you may want to think about how you are going to mod that hood to take in air. Nice ride by the way!!..

Thanks. And yes they are open ported ram air and cowl so the air flows over the motor and vents heat, but I want to do something different and build a ram air box to the hood. kinda like the Mach1 ram air just using a different hood. Can you tell me some good speed shops in south Georgia and North Florida? Thanks again for the complement.
