I'm considering buying a mid-90s 911 ('96 maybe?), but want to get a sense of how reliable this car would be. I know nothing about cars except how to drive them. Assuming the car is in reasonable condition when I buy it, how much should I anticipate spending in repairs on an annual basis? Some basics: I will only be using the car on weekends (probably no more than 75 miles per week on average).

Thanks for your help.

go for a late 993, as some people would say their the nicest looking 911 you can buy, and they are the last of the air cooled. All tho the early 996 prices are nearly the same as late 993, but early 996's had a few problems with build quality, but was sorted quickly and now prove to be one of the best cars on the road. go for the turbo.
