Oil missing?

Hey people..
Havin' a problem with the Supra.. The other day, after a highway trip (about half hour) I checked the oil and it was down 2 Leters!!! (2 quarts for those in the states) This happened pretty suddenly (probably over about 70miles) as I check my oil often.. I noticed that there was dried up oil running down the turbo heat shield, which appeared to have been coming from a crack in the rubber air intake hose above it.. I know it is common for oil to get into the intake, Pre-turbo, but what about after the intercooler?.. whenever I take my top intake hose off, theres usually a little oil in it, and in the 3000pipe..Is this normal? And could something have allowed 2 quarts of oil to pass through the intake?? Any other ideas as to where this oil went?
theres never been oil spots where Ive been parking? And it doesnt blow blue, but if I get on it a bit, I can smell burnt oil..
Anyone shed some light on whats happening??
Also, WHen I pulled my accordian hose off, I noticed that the impellars on the turbo were very black, and some of them were chewed up on the edges.. The turbo's got about 210,000kms on it.. Is this gonna affect the turbo's performance? is it normal after that long?
Also, is rebuilding the turbo a worthwhile alternative to replacing it?? Is rebuilding it something I could do myself?
Sorry about the long post any replies would be much appreciated

210KM? It could be a number of things, with that many miles on the stock turbo, and your description of the condition of it, I'd say it could be the turbo oil seals going out plus a few seals ontop of that. Alittle oil in the intake track is very normal, since the PCV system vents into it, and it's not uncommon at all to find oil pooling up in the IC. If you smell it burning it's probably burning off of the turbo or exhaust manifold, or somehow you could be smelling it from the tailpipe. Does it smoke on startup? Does it smoke any other time it's been sitting for a little bit? Does it smoke more on decel or accel? Also there's a few places you should chck for some oil. Take the plastic engine undercover off and see if it's coated in oil, check the plug valley, and take the lower IC hose off and see if any comes out. Rebuilding the CT26 will cost almost as much as having it upgraded, look into getting a 57 or 60-1 trim wheel upgrade put on it, PT and a few other comapanies do it for around $400-450 US with your core last time I checked.

Alright I pulled my turbo off and sent it in awhile ago.. They said they cant do a stock rebuild because my compressor wheel is shot and they dont have access to a new wheel or cartridge for the turbo.... What he did say is that he was going to send it away to get bored out to accept a bigger compressor wheel.. I asked him what size and he didnt sound very sure? He said the original wheel was a 25cm wheel... and the new one was approx 30cm? This doesnt make sence to me?? No where in my turbo is there room for a 25cm or 30cm wheel??
While I have everything off, im gonna drill out and heli-coil all my stripped Ex. manifold stud holes.. I dont know if I want to attempt it myself though..
While I have everything off and out of the way, is there anything else I should look at? or any tips anyone can offer?
thanx again

Where did you send the turbo to be upgraded? There are few companies that do good quality work for ct-26 upgrades. It most definetly can be fixed back to stock but for the same amount of money you can just go 57-1 or 60-1, don't go bigger and don't clip the exhaust and you'll be happy. Helicoiling is a very good idea though, the alum head is very easy to strip and doesn't take much abuse before it does, here's a good link to how it's done and where to get the parts to do it, on a 7m by the way.

Well I brought it to Saskatoon Diesel.. They're the only place in my city that works with turbochargers.. He phoned me and said that they could fix my compressor wheel, and itd be a lot cheaper.. But I didnt want a repaired wheel.. I told him I wanted the .57 trim wheel.. I didnt want to clip the exhaust though.. I much more interested in low end and quick spool, than high rpm boost.. Im not very hard on the car..
