Steering Easier

I was just wondering is there something different about the steering components between the years? The reason I am asking is because I have been driving my car for about 3-4 months an it has been cool, but my BF just finished swapping in his DOHC ZC and I had it for a day (taking it to the bodyshop for estimates, ended up dropping it off) and his steering is so much smoother than mines. It is almost like he has power steering.
Like for instance backing into a parking spot. In my car I am damn near breaking my arms turning the wheel. And don't let me have to parallel park :disappoin But in his car it is a breeze. My car is a '91 HB std. and his is a '88 HB std. Pics of his car coming soon.

My rims/tires are 195/55/15 and his is 195/60/15. Both have michelin tires on them. Both have about the same drop and both of us need new tires. LOL I am getting soome 50 series soon, but a $363 ticket has delayed my plans. Also my tire pressure is 35psi. I don't know what it could be. I do know that my car HAS made me stonger.

They have different steeriing racks GUYS One is I think (dont quote me) is 4 turns lock to lock and the other is 5 or something close to that. The si rack, which will fit is different than the STD and the DX. I know this cause when I changed the one in my old Si I could choose from 3 different lock to lock ratios.

Look for medium to high speed shimmy, if that's the case have a mechanic look at the drive train... mine had a few damaged components and I had all the bushings replaced... After that it did feel like power steering :]
