In my opinion, nothing sounds better than Infinity, but you will pay for it. If you want a better bang for your buck, I would reccomend Pioneer. (I would also add that I find you typically get better sound by amping factory speakers than by running aftermarket speakers off a factory head unit. My advice would be to install a 50X4 amp with speaker level inputs, and keep the factory speakers) Just my $.02

I agree w/ the Infinity prefrence, pioneer, sony and blaupunkt also sound great. I personally wouldnt amp the factory speakers, b/c they wern't designed for that kind of power, but if someones done it and it works, go for it.

My truck is noisy so i had to replace mine, I actually like Infinity speakers too, had them in my nissan. Although they sounded great, they are very Tinny sounding, more entended for just highs. If you want an overall perfect sound I would recomend the Carbon Edition from Memphis Audio, 6 1/2 and tweeter set is like around 200 and the panel speakers in the back I replaced with the cheaper Memphis Audio ones and my system is fricking loud. O and i keep the factory deck and only added the inline EQ blocks that come with the M/A sets. Very clean and loud!!

i recently was in search of some speakers to replace the stock ones in my 2000 Silverado. i found some really good sounding diamond ones. they have the same technology built into them as the top of the line alpine ones. each speaker has its own box that it's built into so that the volume can be turned up really loud and your door won't vibrate at all. they're very affordable compared to the alpine ones and sound just as good.
