Finding a barracuda...

The 1970, and 1971 models of the Plymouth 'Cuda are by far my favorite car of all time. The thing is, is that I have yet to see one for sale, on hte internet, or in the classifieds. How would I get my hands on a project Cuda?

well first of all plan to SPEND BIG $$$$$$$$$$$$$ E-bodies arent cheap

There are plenty of cudas for sale at most of the links above.

My advise is to find some guy or a shop that restores or specializes in Mopars. They always know a friend that has a friend that know a guy with a Barracuda willing to sell.

Ebay. Most likely will cost an arm and a leg, but they are there. Your best bet for an E body would be the 73-74 years. Not as desirable, therefore, cheaper.

And the 73-74s are a great investment if you plan on holding on the the car for a few years, and also plan on restoring back to original.

I figure that as the 70-71s go into the stratosphere pricewise, the rest will follow along...not as crazy, but figure if 71 Cuda starts costing 70 or 80K, as some do already, where will that take the later models? Only up! Of course the later models SUCK...;) (just kidding)

I guess I should have bought the 70 cuda convertible I found just before Christmas. It was not a 6 pack car and it did not have a hemi. But it was a 440 auto car.

Needed to be restored but it was rust free. Lifelong southcarolina car. the interior was not great in it...And things like the door panels are retardedly expensive. You would have to sell a kidney to get a dashpad.

But it was a convertible. Maybe I should take a drive and go see the guy...Maybe he still has it. It was just out beside his shed with a sign on it. he had 2 of them!!! He was selling one to pay to restore the other.

The Cuda's are getting much harder to find and usually there are at a premium price...your best bet is to find one that needs to be restored...it will take some money but you will have a very sweet ride if done properly....here is a pic of 3 Cuda's in one garage...one is a 1972 and the other two are 1970's..they belong to my friends and my brother
