93 Eclispe GS Shift

Everytime i hit third no matter wut i do, it grinds, well i wouldnt say grinds but sounds bad, and people think i cant shift, but its not me its tha dumb car, any ideas? its not clutch fluid because it only does it in third, and sometimes reverse, but not often, but yeah ill take any help i can get, late.

When did you last replace your transmission fluid? 1g cars are notorious for shifting problems. There are a bunch of TSB's on this problem.

yeah i changed it prolly las time i changed my oil, lol 8000 miles ago, nah uhh i dont remember, tah car is so old, im jus holdin on to it till i get my bike, i mean dont get me wrong the car looks good, and runs great, and sounds really good wit tha exhaust on there...but not very fast...but yeah i dont think its tranny fluid because its only third...

it could still be tranny fluid. all that would mean is that the 3rd gear synchos are in a little worse shape then the others so when the fluid starts going bad 3rd gears acts up before the others do

hmm u have a point but i think i changed it not to long ago, but i think its low because i cahnged something in there dont remember wut, but it made tranny fluid run out a lil bit, so i could be low and thrid is grinding because of that, ill check it tonight thx late..

oh yeah the CV joint thats right it made tranny fluid run out...lemme check it and see
