5301 Climate Control

I have a 2001 BMW 530i - whenever I get into the car and start it my climate control is turned on (even if it is off when I turn the car off). I was told that the car remembers your last setting which it does but I hate the fact that it is always on. The dealer told me this is a normal feature and nothing can be done. Is this true? Anyone have this same issue?

my 3 series does that too i have gotten used to it i just shut it off if i don't need it each time. I have heard maybe you can adjust climate control with key being programed dealer must do that i am not sure all what can be done if anything in regards to that :2cents:
