Open Injector Circuit P0203

I have a code P0203 with an open injector circuit on cylinder 3. I have a 2001 4.0 L V8. Does anyone know the numbering system for the cylinders? The engine is transversely mounted. Anyone have a similiar problem. The car is running rough and is missing. Any advice would be appreciated.

aren't they numbered? where the wire ataches to the plug?

Front cylinders are even, back are odd.
