Time to share with you another finished project.
This time is the Alpine Renault A442B Turbo, winner of the Le Mans race in 1978.
An old Tamiya model with minimum detail (no engine) but that turned out really good looking.
I’ve opted for not build the pilot and detail the seat with a set of Studio 27 belts. Comments are welcome. :)

Very nice. I think the model was designed to be motorised originally (it's a very old kit). Was that a re-release or an original?

Radical beast, Nuno, all those decals would've driving me insane.

How long before you build a Matra? ;)

We need a vintage racer meet now. This model is fantastic. To bad it's curbside, cars like this are art through and through. Great, superclean build! Looks fast as hell.

Looks fantastic Nuno, great livery, great design, great execution by a great builder and the car won a great race! I'm wondering what that white thing on top of the windscreen is?

Maybe an extra rear-view mirror? I'm not sure.

As for the finished model : great work, flawless build! I still have to build that one. The only thing I would have replaced is the antenna, the one that comes with the kit looks a little too thick in my humble opinion. But that is a detail of course.

I also don’t know. My idea is that it is an appendice to maximize the flux of air canalised into the engine air entrance.

The only thing I would have replaced is the antenna, the one that comes with the kit looks a little too thick in my humble opinion. But that is a detail of course.

Yes, many people have told me the same and I have the same opinion. I’m just trying to find a good reference picture of the actual model to create and replace the antenna. Thanks. :)

I'm glad that I could be of assistance... And since I still have to build that Renault, I will look closely how you make that antenna...
