Hey guys my 99 p11 is having problems with its tranny i think. It is an automatic and sometimes when i stop at a light and push the gass to go again my engine revs for a split second but i dont move. Then all of the sudden my car jerks real hard and starts to go again. What could that be? I though maybe it was the transmition not engaging or something. Please help.

yup sounds like your tranny is giving out. do you still have your warranty? is your car engine modded? have you done a lot of neutral-drives to burn out?

I have never done a neutral drops. All i have done to the engine is a header, exhaust, and air intake.

I would take off those after market parts for a while and go to my dealership with a stock setup if you still have a warrantie. They may try to blame the tranie problems on the engine mods. But if you dont have a warrantie anymore its gonna cost quite a bit to repair your tranie.

Hey T4 Primera thanks a lot for your help. I think that is exactly what is wrong with it. I am taking it in to the dealership on Saturday. It is due for its 30,000 mile check. As for the aftermarket stuff, i talked to a tech at the dealer and he said even w/the mods the transmition is warrintied for 6 years. Plus the salesperson at the dealer that i bought my car from wants me to come in and talk to them about all of the stuff you can do to g20s so that they can tell customers. Sounds like a unusual dealership, huh?

If fluid level and condition is ok, then it may be a clogged pan filter, which can be replaced after just dropping the pan, or a clogged tranny cooler. Even if you get a tranny shop to do this for you, it won't cost too much - maybe 1/2 - 1 hour for the pan filter, and replacement aftermarket tranny coolers are not expensive if the stock one cannot be cleaned out.

Maybe you have found a dealership that is actually very good. Who are they? If they give good service then I'm sure people in your area would like to know.

Yea they probably will mark those parts up with some crazy price. The name of the dealership is Dryer and Rienbold, and it is located in Carmel, Indiana. Thanx again for all your help.
