It increases you Octane by 7 points, so if you run 94, then that makes it 94.7, totally worthless.

what does high octane actually do for your car? does it give it better acceceleration or smoother ride or what?

high octane fuel takes more to ignite it. like when your running boost or nos or whatever with too low of octane the fuel can ignite b 4 its posed to and causes detonation.. basically bye bye engine.. has to do with compression i think.. im not completly sure but i think its sumthin like dat

well its not really wether its better or not.. its wether u need it or not.. higher compression = higher octane... so like a turbo car needs it.. on the other hand i remember my dad used to have a shitty lil cougar that ran like shit on everything but 87... so its not always better to use higher..

Octane is the level of anti knock characteristics.
Knock inside the engine is caused by detonation or pre-ignition and usually one can cause the other.
Higher octane allows you to run more advanced timing, more boost or a leaner mixture before you start running into detonation.
For a stock DSM 92+ is recommended for best performance. But if you run lower octane the ECU will adjust until it no longer reads excessive knock.
