hehe, went out and had some fun with my digital camera. i posted last week about swapping the hatches. just wanted to show the fruits of my labor.

old hatch (rust under spoilers): :eek7:

new hatch (i drilled the hole for the windshield wiper blade myself; scared half to death about my measurements):

and....my rustfree car now (looks like every other stock '92 240sx SE minus the spoiler)

every S13 was 4-lug...

you're thinking of S14's, where SE's were 5-lug.

I also swapped out my back hatch with one with no spoiler and no wiper (and no rust). My hatch was alot worse than yours and I did not transfer the wiper, only because I think the car looks cleaner without it. It came out sweet and I have to admit I patted myself on the back when it was done.

I wish my car didn't have a rear wiper... I don't even use it *sigh*

i wasn't sure whether to keep the rear wiper blade at first. it was a lotta work installing it into a base model hatchback. but i figured, if the wiper button is there right by the wheel and the base model hatch already has the holes and space for the wiper assembly, y not go for it. whether i'll regret having put it there in the future or not regret doesn't matter; it's permanent. no use crying over spilled milk.
