i'm just curious becuase the prices of gas are all the news on CNN and other such US news stations. yet, it seems, that the prices are still much cheaper than what we pay up here in canada. i'm truely not trying to start anything but it does not seem right that every station is complaining about it even though compared to canada its a dream. am i missing something or is this how the world works?

how much do you pay up there in canada? you might pay more if you get your gas from us. do you have your own refinerys up there or do you but our stuff? i just payed $2.39 for mid grade,(89 octane), and it was like 18 and some odd gallons. you can figure it out if you want cuz it was $43.75 i think. it shoudl come out to like 18.6 or something if i remember corectly. im lazy and dont feel like doing math right now. now a week ago i also payed $2.39 per gallon, but that was for premium,(91 octane), the price went up $0.10 in one week. oh yeah i forgot to mention, i live in cali also. i just saw on the news today that somewhere around here it is over 3 dollars. see there is another crappy things also, i totaly know how you feel. if you go to another state other than califonia the gas is cheeper than it is here. the national average is something like $2.22. that was as of yesterday. now for it to be that low compared to cali, the price must be hella low in the rest of the US. so i totaly know how you feel.

Suck it up princess. I pay $1.08 per liter for Esso 92 octane. Since 1 gallon is 3.7854118 litres, that's about $4.12 Canadian per gallon, or right around 3 bucks US per gallon.

But they never broke the $2 a gallon mark here. Now the prices here are $1.89 for 87 octane, $1.99 for 89 octane, and $2.09 for 93 octane. I think this time last year I was paying 1.66 for 89. I can remember right after high school in 98, I was paying $.98 for 87 octane.

I remember the good old days of paying $1.04 a gallon for 94 lol. I don't know about anyone else but round here gas prices have raised about 20cents a gallon in the last 2 weeks. This sucks ass right as the weather gets nice!

Its their marketing strategy. Jack up the price when you know everyone is going to be out cruising and you make a killing. My V8+heavyfoot=a lot of money in gas. Oh well all we can do is shut-up and take it this sucks. I should get 2 jobs just to pay for the gas to get to one job.lol

You know in Canada your dollar isn't equal to the U.S. dollar in value right?

Also, do you need to use premium gas on a 98 mustang gt (8cyl) manual?

This page:

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/byclass/Subcompact_Cars1998.shtml

says the automatic can use regular but the manual needs premium! What is with that? Is that right?

Thanks

I wouldn't put anything but premium in a performance car but thats me. Around here

3.09 regular
3.19 midgrade
3.29 premium

I spent $9.00 filling up the gas can to cut the grass.

I am hoping that regular will work. Anyone have a manual for the car? what does it say?

Thanks
