annoying vibration

Desperate soul seeks advice. I have a 90 GS four door which I absolutely love with the exception of the vibration. Anytime I have my foot on the brake or turn anything electrical (lights, a/c, heater, etc.,) on the vibration is really bad. Any idea what could be causing it? Steering wheel shakes constanly until I grab and then the dash takes its place.
