91 Buick Regal

Hi I'm Sher,but my son's car is a 91 Buick Regal that stalls out on hot days after running 20 to 30 minutes. Mechanic replaced control module with no change to the car. Car will run at night when cooler outside. Help.

If it has a 3.1 in it, it may have a bad cam sensor. The resistance of the cam sensor should be between 800-900 ohms when hot. Any differentials in values, replace the sensor.

Sher,
try unpluging your MAF sensor. It may be going bad. I just expreince the same propble as of two days ago. I had no codes from my car, then I had one code, then that code was only replaced my several codes.
When I unplugged my MAF sensor, MAssive airflow sensor, everthing just stopped.
I'm thiing that the sensor is bad and that it is not allowing any air to my engine to breath, this will make the engine hot and rob you of gas and horse power.
Another possiblity too, butI haven't tried it on this car. But only on my old Cavalier. When that car was doing the exact samething, I describe this to a guy who owns a junk yard, he told me that it's the sensor to my transmission. the sensor is going bad and that it's best to unplug the sensor because of the gear problems that my computer is detecting. I had unplugged the sensor and the problem disappeared.
Overall, the conclusion that I'm coming to is that the Regal cars have some kind of electrical shortage in the harness system.
