1983 733i steering & brake problem..Please Help

I have a 1983 733i that I have repalced the st :banghead: eering gear box, power steering pump, all the power steering hoses ,DS regulator and power Boost bomb (not use it's good, got from a salvage yard). now my brake light stays 'on' and the brake pedal is hard and virtually no power steering when the RPM's are around 1K. Can someone please share some advice and expertise as to what may be problem.
