Suspension Question

I have a '97 540 (90k miles) and recently upgraded to Bilstein shocks due to worn out factory shocks. I just drove an '02 530 with standard shocks (<10k miles) and upon returning to my 540 found it felt very "flat" and heavy. While the performance is geat from the v8, I'm beginning to think things with the suspension still aren't right even after fixing the shocks.

Does anyone have some suggestions at what I should be looking at and can anyone recommend a shop which could help with a diagnosis and possible repair? I'm in N. CA in the Palo Alto, Menlo Park area.

Thanks,
Dave
